Human Interest Nairobi's Popular Celebrity Barber Kitikisam Hospitalised



 Nairobi's celebrated celebrity barber, Sam—better known by his social media handle kitikisam—has been hospitalised following a serious health decline.

Mintos Salon and Spa, the upscale grooming parlour where Sam works, issued a heartfelt announcement on their Instagram page, revealing that his condition had worsened. As a result, he has been advised to take time off to rest and recover fully.

In their message, the salon emphasised that Sam's health is their top priority and assured him that his spot on the team remains secure.

“Meet kitikisam the barber,” read part of their Instagram post. “A talented and passionate barber who has been a key part of the Mintos Barbershop family. He has served our clients with heart and dedication—even while silently battling health challenges.”

“Recently, his condition worsened, and we’ve asked him to take time off to rest and fully recover. His health comes first, and his place on our team will always be here for him. We truly appreciate everyone who has shown him love and support—especially Masauti, Abel Mutua, and many others. It means a lot.”The post also reassured clients that the rest of the Mintos Barbershop team remains committed to delivering the same high-quality service clients have come to expect.

They encouraged fans and clients to support Sam both through prayer and financial contributions.

“For now, he needs more prayers and financial support,” the salon appealed. “Kindly help him with whatever you can via M-Pesa to +254 724 590 868.”

Singer Masauti also took to Instagram to show his support, posting:

“Hello guys, this is kitikisam, the Mombasa-based barber. He is unwell and needs our support to cover his hospital bills. Kindly assist with whatever amount you can to 0724 590 868 (Samuel Kilonzo). It will go a long way.”

Known for his skill, professionalism, and charm, Sam has built a strong reputation among Nairobi's celebrity circles.
